(aquamacs just felt awfully slow). so if you are bored find a useful mac!! the best would be one which supports the desktop mode.. http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/html_node/emacs/Saving-Emacs-Sessions.html .. i want to have one emacs button in my tray for every project.. and when i click on it it should load my desktop for that project with all files i had opened previously :) hmm.. thinking again.. maybe i should simply create virtualbox instances - one for every project.. :) i would never need to close browsers, editors, terminals, etc. .. sounds like too much work though :( (and also sounds slow as hell) How bored are you anyway? i had to find a good emacs for mac after macports.org completely messed up my system and i had to remove it altogether :) – and fink had errors installing ‘emacs23-app’ grrrrr…

I was not making a difference whether a company uses the cloud or not. For me the companies I entrust my data to over the Internet, like Flickr, Facebook, or Google Picasa, for all intents and purposes are the cloud. I get the feeling that I not only have no answers to this, but also that my questions weren't really unambiguous either. sorry for that. @wnagele: Interesting distinction there. I'm not afraid of companies losing their data; I'm afraid of average people losing their data in the cloud. Think of your photos... you might have them on flickr, facebook, your own web page, and many more services. Basically very dispersed over the cloud. As it gets more distributed and time passes chances increase that you'll lose data. @wnagele: wrong thought… I’m not afraid of companies losing their data; I’m afraid of average people losing their data in the cloud.
