I just read about the recently released Google Charts API and I think for small applications this might be interesting because it offers a zero-install solution that looks reasonably easy to use and gives you a fast start to get your application going even if you switch over to something else later. So if you start to write a new application targeted only to a small set of users you might want to check this out.
