In case you wondered what cool tricks you can teach a little penguin, check out the video Darren Shaw posted on the eightbar blog. They built an IM-status-aware penguin they use, to know when their manager’s around. I’m sure they only use this to track her down to discuss the last details of their PBCs. It’s March after all and my inbox is already flooded with reminders.

Another cool thing is that this little penguin actually seems to use MQ broker to get pub/sub notifications when the status on Sametime changes. I wonder which other devices use MQ without me knowing about it :-)
